Cell GroupsThe first thing I recommend you do is start a cell group of like-minded Producers. Discuss the ideas you have read. I’m not just selling books here! We need to share these ideas because not all Producers are at the same place in life. Let me give you an example. When I first graduated college with a two-year degree, I went to work for a large company out west. After a month on the job, I noticed an odd pattern. The engineers were given little respect, expected to work overtime for free, moved around like pawns, and generally treated like human resources. Being a technician and not understanding this I asked why they took it. They replied, “That’s the way it is.” I remained perplexed until I enrolled in engineering school some years later. There I found the students were given little respect, expected to work overtime for free, moved around like pawns, and generally treated like lab rats. Eureka! That’s why the engineers allowed such on the job denigration. In school they had to pay thousands for that privilege, but on the job, they were being paid. And they were being treated better than lab rats. They were now being treated as human resources! No wonder the engineers thought they were well off. This difference in perception means that not every Producer you encounter will take to my thesis right away. Some need years to wear down under the load of Paraducers and Consumers they carry through life. Producers near your age will likely have a similar perspective on life. Your cell group will consist of Producers in various stages of discontent. And not all of you will have the same take on every aspect of what I have asserted. That is okay. You are Producers, meaning you have brains, each one of you, and you use them. I trust you implicitly. The cell group is not just a place for discussion, but for coordination. What will you coordinate? In general, we Producers need to coordinate our actions in society to improve our position, power, wealth and control. We should coordinate our lifestyles to maximize these things as well. A good coordination example is the investment club. These were popular in the 1990’s while the market was booming, and are still a great idea. The notion is to band together to pool investment ideas, though some clubs pool money as in a private mutual fund. Perhaps you don’t want to marry other Producers this way, but you will find that other smart people like you have some super investment ideas. Earning return on our money is one simple way we gain power. A more involved example is a cell group which self insures. Now this would have to be a rather large cell group, ten or twenty Producers minimum. The thought is that they provide their own health insurance at some level, perhaps with the addition of a catastrophic care policy for major sicknesses. The members of the cell would ideally be near the same station in life, so you don’t have people near retirement paying for youthful members’ maternity care. Each self insuring Producer group would keep many thousands of dollars out of the hands of insurers, a gargantuan and shameless Paraducer. Even pooling grocery orders will save huge money over the years, money that stays in your pocket. But cell groups are not buying clubs! I have many more Producer actions to explore, and as I do, picture them being done individually and in the context of the cell group. From the trivial to the universal, you see that Producers working together can pour a solid foundation of power in our society. Forming a cell group should be done carefully. Producers with similar interests will get more done than a pack of teens and retirees who argue about pop music endlessly. Make sure that each person admitted meets the definition of Producer, someone whose skills society cannot do without, someone who makes something new and unique out of raw materials. Paraducers and Consumers will not be interested because they do not share our goals, and we Producers bore them senseless! You don’t have to meet weekly, but perhaps only a few times a year, to share ideas. In fact, your group could be spread all over the continent and meet electronically. Now everyone knows who the Producers are in your company, right? You, Producer, don’t have to advertise because everyone knows who gets the job done, who they need to hitch their wagons to for success. The last thing we want to do as Producers is advertise that we are coordinating our efforts to diminish the societal power of Paraducers. It’s not like we are some subversive organization, but you don’t see the minutes of the Circuit Court Judge’s Breakfast Club published in the newspaper. Those Paraducers have their own private community, and we should have ours. |
