      Staying Under the Radar

A few readers will think I am advocating some underground society or movement. I am not. As I said before, society will change for the better as Producers regain the control they had in centuries past, one Producer at a time. That said, should we be public and open about our goals?

Well, this book is published openly. Fortunately, Paraducers probably will not get through it because it is not written to them and is consequently gibberish in their sight. Consumers don’t read in the main, so no threat there, unless this book is made into a television movie! (I wonder if Tom Hanks is available.)

I don’t think that we need a Usenet newsgroup, or network of web sites, or satellite television channel or infomercial. We sure don’t need any more of those cheap plastic bracelets. Each Producer on the planet over about age 25 resonates with joy and rage at the themes and situations I have expressed. All you have to do is bring them up in conversation at a party or over lunch and you have another convert. Convert is not the right term, perhaps; it’s like a person who awakens and realizes where she is and who she is and what she is, awakens from a dream to reality.

That said, the last thing I want Producers to be seen as is a threat by Paraducers. Our activity should simply look like a drop in tax revenues, an increase in the savings rate, and a preference for used cars over new. Just the usual ebb and flow of money, but toward the Producers in this case, say, for the next hundred years, changing our society at its roots.
